**What We Do**

**Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH)**
Maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) is the health of women and children during pregnancy, childbirth and childhood. It includes access to family planning, antenatal care, safe delivery, postnatal care, newborn care, child health services, and nutrition. UNFPA works with governments and partners to improve MNCH in over 150 countries.

**Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)**
Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) is the ability to have a satisfying and safe sex life, and to reproduce and plan a family when and how one wants. It includes access to contraception, safe abortion, treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and education on sexuality. UNFPA works with governments and partners to improve SRH in over 150 countries.

**Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment**
Gender equality and women’s empowerment is the idea that all people should have equal rights and opportunities, regardless of their sex. It includes the right to education, employment, and political participation. UNFPA works with governments and partners to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in over 150 countries.

**Population and Development**
Population and development is the relationship between population growth and the social and economic development of a country. UNFPA works with governments and partners to ensure that population growth is sustainable and that it does not hinder development.

**How We Do It**
