Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday announced that maternity childcare leave for women soldiers of all ranks has been increased from 180 days to 260 days, a move that will benefit thousands of female personnel in the armed forces.
The minister made the announcement during his address at the silver jubilee celebrations of the Corps of Army Air Defence, in which he also handed over the President’s Colours to the corps.
